The Backfield Lab (the “App”) is operated by Kuzo Labs (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the App does and does not collect. We built the App to be private by default: it works without an account, and your combine results stay on your device.
The combine numbers you enter (e.g. 40-yard dash, vertical, shuttle), your position and class, and your resulting card are stored locally on your device using on-device storage. We do not upload them to our servers. Deleting the App removes this data.
To understand how the App is used and to improve it, we collect anonymous, event-level analytics through PostHog. These are actions such as “completed onboarding” or “viewed paywall”, along with general technical data (app version, device type, country). This data is not linked to your real-world identity and contains no personal contact information. You can learn more in PostHog’s privacy policy.
Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage entitlements. We never see or store your payment card details. Apple and RevenueCat process purchase data under their own privacy policies (Apple, RevenueCat).
The App is designed for high-school and older athletes. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because the App requires no account and collects no personal contact information, no personal data is gathered regardless of age. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will address it.
On-device data lives until you delete it or uninstall the App. Anonymous analytics are retained by our analytics provider for a limited period. To opt out of analytics, you can stop using the App or contact us.
We may update this policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
